Responsibilities
- Build and repair fixtures and structures within the warehouse.
- Repair plumbing systems, including pipes, faucets, and drains.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems under 24 volts.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, including inspections and repairs.
- Service and repair machinery and equipment for both ancillary businesses and the main warehouse.
- Provide janitorial services, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and other areas.
- Perform general maintenance of the warehouse and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential problems.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the life of equipment.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and fixtures.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in safety training programs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with other employees and departments.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Continuously seek ways to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
