Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (experience)
- Previous experience in meat handling or food service is a plus (experience)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures (experience)
- Ability to operate meat wrapping machines and grinders (experience)
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) (experience)

Responsibilities
- Wrap and label meat products using wrapping machine according to company standards
- Stock display cases with fresh and appealing meat products
- Operate meat grinder to produce ground meat products
- Clean and sanitize meat department, including meat room, cooler, equipment, and utensils
- Restock supplies, including packaging materials, labels, and cleaning supplies
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature control in coolers and freezers
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Inspect meat products for quality and freshness
- Remove expired or damaged products from display cases
- Assist customers with meat selections and provide product information
- Weigh and price meat products accurately
- Prepare and package custom meat orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Dispose of waste properly
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for product rotation
- Prevent cross-contamination of food products
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management
- Assist with inventory counts and ordering supplies
- Participate in training and development programs
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work as part of a team to achieve department goals
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
