Responsibilities
- Wrap and label meat products using wrapping machines.
- Stock display cases with wrapped meat products.
- Operate meat grinder to prepare ground meat.
- Clean and sanitize meat department, including meat room, cooler, equipment, and utensils.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling and dating of meat products.
- Monitor product quality and freshness.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Answer customer questions about meat products.
- Assist with unloading and stocking meat deliveries.
- Rotate meat products to ensure freshness.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a team to achieve department goals.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
- Dispose of waste properly.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Monitor temperature of meat products in coolers and display cases.
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations.
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Maintain accurate records of meat production and inventory.
- Prepare meat for special orders as needed.
