Responsibilities
- Assisting members in selecting eyeglasses frames
- Taking measurements for proper eyeglass fit
- Ordering eyeglasses and contact lenses through the computer system
- Verifying prescriptions with doctors' offices
- Fitting eyeglasses to members' faces
- Dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses under the supervision of a licensed optician
- Providing excellent customer service
- Answering member questions about eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Troubleshooting member issues with eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Handling returns and exchanges
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Stocking shelves with eyeglasses frames and contact lenses
- Cleaning eyeglasses frames and lenses
- Operating and maintaining optical equipment
- Following safety procedures
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
- Assisting with inventory control
- Participating in team meetings
- Attending training sessions
- Staying up-to-date on new products and technologies
- Promoting sales and special offers
- Processing payments and handling cash
- Working with insurance companies to process claims
- Maintaining accurate records

- Performing minor repairs on eyeglasses
