Responsibilities
- Assisting members in selecting and ordering eyeglasses
- Using computer systems to process orders and manage member information
- Fitting eyeglasses to members under the supervision of a licensed optician
- Dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses under supervision
- Providing prompt and courteous member service
- Answering member questions and resolving concerns
- Following department procedures for stocking and cleaning
- Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Cleaning and sanitizing optical equipment and workstations
- Assisting with frame selection and adjustments
- Taking measurements for eyeglass fittings
- Verifying insurance coverage and processing claims
- Maintaining accurate records of member transactions
- Following safety procedures and protocols
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Assisting with merchandising and visual displays
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions
- Staying up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends
- Providing support to other team members as needed
- Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Greeting and assisting members upon arrival
- Scheduling appointments for eye exams and fittings
- Troubleshooting minor eyeglass repairs
- Ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all members
