Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter payroll data into the automated payroll system.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Maintain employee payroll records.
  • Update employee information in the payroll system.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Process garnishments and other deductions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs.
  • Assist with payroll audits.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Track and post warehouse expenses.
  • Maintain personnel files and OSHA reports.
  • Assist managers with payroll information and reports.
  • Review and correct errors in the payroll system.
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll.
  • Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Provide support to the HR department as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
