Required Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and timely
  • Collect and verify timekeeping data from various sources
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
  • Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
  • Assist with payroll audits
  • Process employee terminations and final paychecks
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns
  • Administer employee benefits programs
  • Process new hire paperwork and ensure accurate data entry into the payroll system
  • Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and address updates
  • Calculate and process retroactive pay adjustments
  • Process manual checks as needed
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information
  • Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or processes
  • Train employees on payroll procedures and systems
  • Work with HR to ensure accurate employee data
  • Prepare journal entries for payroll-related expenses
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
