Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
- Counsel patients on medication use and potential side effects
- Provide drug information to physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions and adverse reactions
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order medications as needed
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy law and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff
- Provide immunizations and other clinical services
- Participate in quality assurance programs
- Resolve patient complaints and concerns
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Stay up-to-date on new medications and therapies
- Participate in continuing education programs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to Costco's policies and procedures
