Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution. (experience)
- Current and active Pharmacist license in good standing in Kentucky. (experience)
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (preferred). (experience)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered pharmacist (preferred). (experience)
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations. (experience)

Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions and contraindications.
- Manage inventory of medications and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and dispensing activities.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Administer immunizations (if certified).
- Compound medications as needed (if applicable).
- Participate in quality assurance programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Resolve patient complaints and concerns.
- Process third-party insurance claims.
- Manage prior authorizations.
- Educate patients on health and wellness topics.
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain professional competency.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
- Adhere to Costco’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Identify and report adverse drug reactions.
- Assist with medication therapy management programs.
