Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (experience)
  • Current and valid Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in Michigan (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects
  • Provide medication therapy management services
  • Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions and contraindications
  • Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient medications
  • Participate in quality assurance programs
  • Provide vaccinations and immunizations to patients
  • Compound sterile and non-sterile medications (if applicable)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations
  • Stay up-to-date on new medications and therapies
