Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Retrieve and prepare medications for dispensing.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment.
- Assist customers at the counter with prescription pick-up and drop-off.
- Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries.
- Process prescription orders and verify insurance information.
- Maintain patient records and update information in the pharmacy system.
- Order and stock medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
- Prepare and administer immunizations under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns.
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions.
- Assist with insurance billing and claims processing.
