Required Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the daily operations of the in-store pharmacy
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Verify the accuracy and legality of prescriptions
  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
  • Provide medication therapy management services to patients
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of medications
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and dispensing activities
  • Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing issues
  • Monitor department performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to pharmacy staff
  • Train and onboard new pharmacy employees
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
  • Participate in quality assurance programs to improve patient safety
  • Resolve customer complaints and address concerns in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care
  • Stay up-to-date on new medications and pharmacy practices
  • Attend professional development conferences and workshops
  • Participate in community outreach events to promote pharmacy services
  • Manage the pharmacy budget and control expenses
  • Order and receive medications and supplies
