Responsibilities
- Assisting customers at the pharmacy counter
- Retrieving prescriptions for customers
- Ringing up orders using a point-of-sale system
- Answering phone calls and addressing customer inquiries
- Verifying patient information and insurance details
- Processing prescription refills
- Managing inventory of medications and over-the-counter products
- Stocking shelves and ensuring proper organization
- Ordering medications and supplies as needed
- Assisting pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer issues
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Following all pharmacy policies and procedures
- Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Operating and maintaining pharmacy equipment
- Assisting with insurance claims and billing
- Handling cash and processing payments accurately
- Counting medications and verifying dosages
- Labeling and packaging medications
