Responsibilities
- Assisting customers at the pharmacy counter
- Retrieving prescriptions for customers
- Ringing up customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Processing payments and handling cash transactions
- Answering phone calls and addressing customer inquiries
- Ordering and stocking prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Verifying patient information and insurance details
- Assisting pharmacists with filling prescriptions
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Following all safety and security procedures
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Handling prescription transfers and refills
- Resolving customer complaints and issues
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Operating pharmacy equipment, such as counting machines
- Managing inventory levels and placing orders as needed
- Keeping track of expiration dates of medications
- Assisting with pharmacy audits and inspections
- Entering data into computer systems accurately
- Working collaboratively with other pharmacy team members
