Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack deliveries of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas in the pharmacy area.
- Ensure proper rotation of stock to prevent spoilage or expiration.
- Straighten and organize merchandise to maintain a neat and appealing presentation.
- Clear and clean aisles and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with inventory management tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Place orders for new stock as needed.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and process orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with product selection.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Assist with pricing and labeling merchandise.
- Handle and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and pharmacists.
