Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise
- Verify the accuracy of orders against packing slips and invoices
- Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas in the pharmacy
- Rotate stock to ensure proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with inventory management tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the pharmacy and storage areas
- Remove expired or damaged products from shelves
- Assist with the preparation of orders for shipment or delivery
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move merchandise
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
- Answer questions from customers regarding product availability and location
- Assist with pricing and labeling of merchandise
- Restock shelves throughout the day
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Process returns and exchanges of merchandise
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions
- Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to ensure efficient operations
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Assist with unloading trucks and unpacking merchandise
- Prepare and stage merchandise for stocking
- Dispose of waste and recycling properly
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to management
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required
