Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack deliveries of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Stock shelves and displays in the pharmacy area according to established procedures.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with retrieving medications and supplies.
- Process orders for drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Dispose of expired or damaged medications properly.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Label shelves and containers accurately.
- Price items according to established guidelines.
- Assist customers with locating merchandise in the pharmacy area.
- Answer customer questions about over-the-counter medications.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager.
- Restock front-end merchandise
- Ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive medications
- Report any suspicious activity to the pharmacy manager.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with training new pharmacy stockers.
