Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack shipments of medications and supplies
- Verify accuracy of orders against invoices and packing slips
- Stock shelves and storage areas with medications and supplies
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and prevent expiration
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management tasks
- Process orders and prepare medications for dispensing
- Assist customers with over-the-counter medication selections
- Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries
- Operate cash registers and process payments
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels
- Monitor temperature and humidity levels in storage areas
- Dispose of expired or damaged medications according to regulations
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
- Restock dispensing areas with medications and supplies
- Prepare sterile products under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Package and label medications for shipment
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Report any discrepancies or problems to the pharmacist
- Assist with training new employees
