Responsibilities
- Receiving and unpacking deliveries of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise
- Verifying the accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders
- Stocking shelves and displays in the pharmacy area
- Ensuring that all products are properly labeled and priced
- Rotating stock to ensure freshness and prevent expiration
- Maintaining inventory levels by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with tasks as needed
- Providing excellent customer service to pharmacy customers
- Answering customer questions and directing them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Removing trash and debris from the pharmacy area
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning shelves and displays
- Monitoring temperature and humidity levels in the pharmacy
- Reporting any discrepancies or problems to the pharmacy manager
- Following all safety procedures and protocols
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Assisting with inventory audits and cycle counts
- Participating in training and development programs
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
- Handling returns and exchanges of merchandise
- Processing orders for customers
- Managing expired medication
- Using pharmacy software for basic task
- Understanding basic pharmaceutical items
