Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise
- Verify the accuracy of orders and report any discrepancies
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Straighten and organize merchandise on shelves and displays
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages
- Order drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks
- Provide excellent customer service
- Answer customer questions and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Operate cash registers and process transactions
- Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately
- Maintain records of inventory and sales
- Prepare reports on inventory levels and sales trends
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Comply with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Assist with the preparation of prescriptions
- Assist with the labeling of prescriptions
- Assist with the packaging of prescriptions
- Assist with the delivery of prescriptions
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient information
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve goals
