Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack deliveries of drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring proper placement and rotation
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor
- Ensure proper storage of medications and supplies, following all safety and regulatory guidelines
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to pharmacy customers
- Answer customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate personnel
- Process customer orders and prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and sales
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Remove outdated or damaged merchandise from shelves
- Price and label merchandise accurately
- Assist with the preparation of pharmacy displays
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Adhere to all safety regulations
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor
- Participate in training and development programs
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- Contribute to a positive work environment
