Responsibilities
- Assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications
- Receiving and verifying prescriptions
- Entering prescription information into the computer system
- Preparing medications for dispensing, including counting pills and measuring liquids
- Labeling and packaging medications
- Processing insurance claims
- Answering phones and assisting customers with inquiries
- Stocking shelves and managing inventory
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Operating cash registers and handling payments
- Providing excellent customer service
- Following all pharmacy policies and procedures
- Complying with all state and federal regulations
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Assisting with inventory control
- Ordering medications and supplies
- Preparing and processing third-party prescriptions
- Resolving customer issues and complaints
- Verifying patient information
