Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (experience)
- Valid and active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in California (experience)
- Current Immunization Certification (experience)
- CPR Certification (experience)
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred (experience)
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws (experience)
- Understanding of pharmaceutical calculations (experience)
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems (experience)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (experience)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (experience)

Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage and potential side effects
- Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions and allergies
- Compound medications as needed according to established procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies
- Order medications and supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Resolve patient inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Administer immunizations to patients according to established protocols
- Provide medication therapy management services to patients
- Educate patients on disease state management
- Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain professional competency
- Stay up-to-date on new medications and therapies
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Document all pharmacy activities accurately and completely
- Adhere to Costco Wholesale policies and procedures
- Report any suspected medication errors or adverse drug reactions
