Responsibilities
- Inspect returned, damaged, deleted, and defective goods.
- Record inventory data accurately into the computer system.
- Obtain vendor return authorizations for eligible items.
- Prepare items for shipment back to vendors.
- Package and label items according to vendor requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate with vendors regarding return discrepancies.
- Track return shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve any issues or problems related to returns.
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Generate reports on return activity.
- Process paperwork related to returns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate any potential quality control issues.
- Assist with training new employees.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to Costco's code of ethics.
- Ensure proper documentation for all returns
- Monitor aging inventory and prioritize returns
- Assist in identifying trends in product defects
- Recommend improvements to return processes
