Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged, deleted, and defective goods
- Enter return-to-vendor inventory data into the computer system
- Obtain vendor return authorizations for items
- Prepare items for shipment back to vendors
- Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping
- Label packages accurately with vendor information
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with vendors regarding return status
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures when handling merchandise
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed
- Assist with inventory counts and audits
- Resolve discrepancies in inventory records
- Process returns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all returns
- Prepare reports on return activity
- Identify trends in defective merchandise
- Suggest improvements to the return process
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve return issues
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist with training new employees
- Participate in team meetings
