Responsibilities
- Check damaged, deleted, and defective goods for return-to-vendor (RTV) inventory.
- Enter RTV inventory data into the computer system accurately.
- Obtain vendor return authorization for eligible items.
- Prepare items for shipment back to the vendor.
- Package items securely to prevent further damage during transit.
- Coordinate with shipping companies for pickup and delivery of RTV items.
- Track RTV shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all RTV transactions.
- Communicate with vendors regarding RTV status and issues.
- Inspect returned items to verify condition and quantity.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and computer records.
- Follow company procedures for handling RTV inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (if required).
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Identify and report any potential RTV issues to management.
- Suggest improvements to the RTV process to increase efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Process returned merchandise in a timely manner.
- Ensure all RTV items are properly labeled and identified.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Attend training sessions to improve job knowledge and skills.
- Assist in training new employees on RTV procedures.
