Required Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Verify prescription information and dosage
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations
- Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, measuring, and labeling
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking medications
- Monitor drug storage conditions and ensure proper handling of medications
- Provide excellent customer service to patients
- Answer patient inquiries regarding medications and prescriptions
- Assist patients with insurance billing and reimbursement
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with the preparation of sterile products
- Compound medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist with medication reconciliation
- Conduct quality control checks on dispensed medications
- Assist with the disposal of expired or recalled medications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with pharmacy audits and inspections
- Participate in continuing education programs
- Stay up-to-date on new medications and pharmacy practices
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures
- Provide support to other pharmacy staff members
- Assist with training new pharmacy staff
