Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (experience)
- Completion of at least one year of pharmacy coursework (experience)
- Valid Pharmacy Intern License (if required by Georgia law) (experience)
- Strong academic record (experience)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (experience)
- Ability to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist (experience)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment (experience)

Responsibilities
- Assisting pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications
- Entering prescription data into the pharmacy system accurately
- Verifying prescription information with prescribers
- Counting and measuring medications
- Packaging and labeling prescriptions
- Maintaining inventory of medications and supplies
- Ordering medications and supplies as needed
- Assisting with inventory audits
- Providing excellent customer service to patients
- Answering patient questions and addressing concerns under pharmacist supervision
- Processing insurance claims
- Handling cash and credit card transactions
- Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment
- Adhering to all pharmacy policies and procedures
- Following all state and federal laws and regulations
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Assisting with medication compounding (if properly trained)
- Participating in quality assurance activities
- Assisting with medication reconciliation
- Providing information to patients about their medications (under pharmacist supervision)
- Screening prescriptions for drug interactions and allergies (under pharmacist supervision)
- Performing clerical duties as needed
- Assisting with the training of new pharmacy technicians
- Participating in continuing education programs
- Reporting any suspected adverse drug events
- Keeping up to date with the latest pharmaceutical information.
- Assisting with special pharmacy projects.
