Responsibilities
- Stocking merchandise on shelves, displays, and in designated areas
- Rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Unloading and sorting incoming shipments
- Verifying inventory against packing lists
- Removing empty boxes and packaging materials
- Cleaning and organizing aisles and work areas
- Assisting customers with locating merchandise
- Providing excellent customer service
- Answering customer questions and addressing concerns
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Following safety procedures and guidelines
- Reporting any safety hazards or concerns to management
- Monitoring product expiration dates and removing expired items
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Assisting with inventory counts
- Pricing merchandise accurately
- Placing and arranging merchandise displays
- Restocking shelves throughout the day
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient operations
- Communicating with supervisors regarding inventory needs
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned by management
- Labeling and tagging merchandise correctly
