Role Overview

The Associate, Corporate Development and M&A, will be a key player in supporting Crusoe’s inorganic growth strategy across its core sectors: Power, Industrial Process and Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Software. This highly visible position will be deeply involved in all phases of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, and structuring strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a high-performing professional with robust financial expertise and transaction experience. This role reports directly to the SVP of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development.

  • Morning: Begin your day by reviewing the pipeline of potential M&A and investment targets. Analyze market trends and news related to the Industrials, Energy, and Real Estate sectors to identify potential opportunities. Participate in a team meeting to discuss progress on ongoing deals and strategize on next steps.
  • Mid-day: Dive into financial modeling for a potential acquisition target. Build and refine valuation models, conduct accretion/dilution analyses, and analyze precedent transactions. Coordinate with the due diligence team to review key findings and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Afternoon: Prepare a presentation on the strategic rationale for a potential investment opportunity for Senior Leadership. Collaborate with internal business unit leaders to assess strategic needs and integration plans. Conduct outreach to potential acquisition targets and partners.
