Role Overview

As a CNC Machine Operator on the 2nd shift, you will be the backbone of our fabrication process, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of high-quality components. Your expertise in operating Laser, Punch, and panel bender machines will be crucial. You'll work with work orders, drawings, sketches, fabrication standards, and programs to produce parts for Crusoe Fabricators. This role demands a strong understanding of CNC machinery, blueprint interpretation, and a steadfast commitment to safety and quality.

A Day in the Life of a CNC Operator at Crusoe

Your day will be dynamic and focused on precision and efficiency. You will start by reviewing work orders and programs, ensuring accuracy and verifying the necessary materials. Next, you'll set up the CNC machinery, which includes loading feed mechanisms with sheet metal. A key part of your routine involves interpreting blueprint designs to manufacture products to customer specifications, adjusting programs as needed. Throughout your shift, you'll inspect machinery and products for quality, meticulously using the quality control system and check sheets. You'll also be responsible for the upkeep of your machinery, including checking the tooling, replacing or sharpening as necessary, and performing daily maintenance. Staying organized is also important, as you'll help manage tooling inventory. Working from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, you’ll be a key part of keeping Crusoe’s fabrication running smoothly.
