As the Director of Engineering, Cloud Availability in Dublin, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the global resiliency of Crusoe Cloud. This critical role serves as a bridge between our European operations and US headquarters, overseeing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Network Engineering, and Data Center Infrastructure Engineering. You will be instrumental in scaling our EMEA presence and fostering a 'one-team' mindset across geographic boundaries.
Your day will involve a mix of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on problem-solving. You'll start by reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system availability and reliability. You'll then meet with your team leads to discuss ongoing projects, address any roadblocks, and ensure alignment with global business objectives. A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to building relationships with US-based counterparts to synchronize priorities and foster collaboration. You'll also spend time mentoring team members, identifying individual strengths, and developing the next generation of engineering leaders. You will be responsible for proactively managing office sentiment in the Dublin office and ensuring high-impact objectives are met. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and refine 'follow-the-sun' protocols to ensure seamless handoffs and zero customer disruption.
