RESUME AND JOB
Crusoe
Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
As an Engineering Manager on the Managed AI team at Crusoe, you will play a critical role in leading and scaling a team of engineers building our next-generation AI inference platform. You will be responsible for guiding the team through the design and implementation of high-performance, fault-tolerant infrastructure to serve large language models (LLMs) at scale.
This role combines technical depth with people leadership — you'll help shape the engineering roadmap, drive execution across key projects, and mentor a team of high-caliber engineers. As part of a fast-growing, strategically important organization, you’ll partner closely with product, business, and platform stakeholders to deliver a performant and reliable platform powering AI for customers worldwide.
This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, or Sunnyvale, CA, requiring in-office presence.
A typical day for an Engineering Manager at Crusoe involves a mix of technical leadership, team management, and strategic planning. You might start your day by reviewing the progress of ongoing projects and addressing any roadblocks that your team members are facing. This could involve code reviews, architectural discussions, or providing guidance on technical challenges.
You'll also spend time in meetings with product managers and other stakeholders to align on priorities and discuss the roadmap for the AI platform. This is an opportunity to represent the engineering team's perspective and ensure that technical considerations are taken into account in product decisions.
A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to team management activities. This includes conducting one-on-one meetings with your team members to provide feedback, discuss career development goals, and address any concerns they may have. You'll also be involved in hiring new engineers and onboarding them to the team.
In addition to these responsibilities, you'll also be expected to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in AI and cloud computing. This could involve reading research papers, attending conferences, or experimenting with new technologies. By staying current with the latest developments, you'll be able to provide valuable insights and guidance to your team.
