Join Crusoe Energy as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer / Supervisor and lead the transformation of complex customer requirements into production ready 3D models and detailed drawings for modular integrated electronics buildings, and standalone power distribution equipment. This pivotal working leadership role involves the creation and release of precise fabrication drawings alongside expert technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance throughout the entire product development lifecycle. You will be instrumental in ensuring our designs are functional, and compliant with all regulatory and commercial codes, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, seasoned engineer with expert-level 3D modeling skills, a comprehensive understanding of mechanical design related to modular buildings and power distribution equipment, and a demonstrated ability to successfully lead engineering teams and initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position in Arvada, Colorado.
Imagine starting your day by reviewing project specifications for a new modular data center design. You collaborate with the project management team to understand the client's specific needs and requirements. Next, you dive into 3D modeling, creating detailed designs for the building's mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. You then lead a design review meeting with the engineering team, providing guidance and feedback to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory codes. You will also manage and mentor junior mechanical engineers on the team. The afternoon might involve working with the manufacturing team to resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process, ensuring that the final product meets the highest quality standards. You also spend time reviewing and approving engineering change orders, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and implemented.
