Day in the Life

As a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Crusoe Energy, your day-to-day activities may include:

• Leading and directing the design of modular integrated buildings, low voltage switchboards, medium voltage switchgear, and other critical power distribution equipment.
• Overseeing the development of comprehensive specification sheets, bills of materials, detailed assembly instructions, and other crucial manufacturing documents.
• Ensuring strict compliance of all product designs with complicated regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company practices and procedures.
• Accepting responsibility for the accurate and timely delivery of shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Conducting thorough model reviews and drawing checks as an integral part of the engineering design release process.
• Initiating, leading, and directing Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Excellence (DFx) reviews, focusing on cost reduction strategies and enhancing overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Independently leading and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as a key part of product release and ongoing lifecycle management.
• Leading and directing strategic collaboration initiatives with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to support customer inquiries, resolve problems, and foster creative, high-value solutions.
