As the Legal Counsel Director – Real Estate Finance and Data Centers, you will be a pivotal player in supporting Crusoe's large-scale project financings and real estate developments. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel - Real Estate Development & Data Centers, you will spearhead contract drafting, negotiation, and execution of project finance transactions and real estate acquisition matters. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring timely and strategic legal support across all of Crusoe’s data center development projects.
Each day will bring a diverse set of challenges and opportunities. You might start your day by reviewing and negotiating letters of intent for potential data center sites. Next, you could be conducting legal due diligence on a property, examining title reports, environmental assessments, and zoning regulations to identify and mitigate risks. A significant portion of your time will be spent drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements, and leases. You will collaborate with the finance, tax, power and engineering, construction, and project development teams to ensure that all legal aspects align with business objectives. You'll also develop standardized legal documents and templates to streamline negotiations and maintain consistency across all projects.
