Principal Engineer, AI Model Lifecycle at Crusoe

A Day in the Life of a Principal Engineer, AI Model Lifecycle

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of Crusoe's AI initiatives. Your day might start with a deep dive into the performance metrics of our large language model training pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing resource allocation. You could then transition to designing the architecture for a new feature in our agent execution infrastructure, collaborating closely with product and platform teams to ensure seamless integration. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to hands-on coding, implementing and maintaining our fine-tuning systems, and working on cutting-edge technologies like distillation and reinforcement learning.   • Implement and maintain end-to-end training pipelines for Large Language Models.
  • Develop distillation and reinforcement learning pipelines (e.g., preference optimization, policy optimization, reward modeling).
  • Build and maintain agent execution infrastructure.
