As a Project Engineer specializing in power generation, you will be a key member of our Project Engineering team, focusing on the electrical and mechanical aspects of our large-scale data center and digital flare mitigation projects. Your expertise will be critical in the planning, design, execution, and commissioning of power generation systems, ensuring reliable and efficient power delivery to our data centers. This role demands a strong understanding of power generation technologies, mechanical engineering principles, and project management methodologies.
Your day-to-day activities will be dynamic and multifaceted. You will contribute to the design and specification of power generation systems, including generators, switchgear, transformers, piping systems, heat exchangers, pumps, and associated auxiliary systems. You'll collaborate with engineering firms, contractors, and vendors, ensuring project success through effective communication and coordination. A significant part of your role involves performing detailed engineering calculations and analyses related to power systems, such as load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination. Reviewing and approving engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation will also be a crucial aspect of your daily tasks. You will monitor project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying potential risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Regular site visits and inspections will be necessary to ensure the quality of workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Finally, you will support the commissioning and testing of power generation systems, ensuring proper operation and performance.
