Role Overview

As a Senior Network Engineer in Deployment at Crusoe Cloud, you will be at the forefront of building and expanding our global network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in deploying new data centers, points of presence (PoPs), and backbone networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for our high-performance compute (HPC) clusters. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in edge, backbone, and HPC-based data center networking at a massive scale.

The Crusoe Cloud Network Deployment Engineering team is looking for an ambitious and experienced team player to join our Network Engineering team. We are responsible for designing, building, and operating the global edge, backbone, and data center network for High-Performance Compute (HPC) Clusters with GPUs. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-directed, and passionate about working on technologies that positively impact the environment. You must possess excellent analytical and communication skills and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

A Day in the Life

• Start your day by reviewing network performance metrics and identifying any potential issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Infrastructure and Product, to discuss network requirements for new deployments.
• Work with external vendors and ISPs to test and verify device and carrier selection.
• Configure and deploy network devices, such as routers and switches, in new data centers and PoPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for the Crusoe Network.
• Research and evaluate new networking technologies to improve network performance and efficiency.
• Document network configurations and procedures.
• Automate network tasks using scripting languages like Python and configuration management tools like Ansible.
