Crusoe Energy Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Software Engineer - Software Defined Networking to lead the development and execution of our innovative Software Defined Networking strategy. In this critical role, you will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like XDP/EBPF, DPDK, SmartNICs, and DPUs/IPUs within the Linux Kernel to significantly enhance network performance and efficiency.
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer - Software Defined Networking, your day will be dynamic and impactful. You'll start by reviewing the progress of your team on key SDN initiatives, providing technical guidance and unblocking any roadblocks. You will dedicate time to designing and reviewing network architectures, ensuring they meet the performance, scalability, and reliability requirements of Crusoe's cloud infrastructure. You'll be actively involved in coding, developing, and maintaining Linux Kernel modules and drivers, leveraging technologies like XDP/EBPF and DPDK. Collaboration is key, so you'll spend time working with other engineering teams to integrate SDN solutions into the broader infrastructure. Finally, you'll participate in production support, addressing any network-related issues and optimizing performance.
