Staff Software Engineer, Network Automation at Crusoe Cloud - San Francisco

As a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Network Automation, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and operating our global network infrastructure, which supports high-performance compute (HPC) clusters with GPUs. Role Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer in Network Automation, you will be responsible for developing tools and automation solutions that enhance the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of Crusoe Cloud’s network infrastructure. You will collaborate with network engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective network automation solutions. Your work will directly impact our ability to deploy, manage, and scale our network infrastructure to meet the growing demands of AI and HPC workloads.

A Day in the Life

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Conceptualizing, building, and maintaining automation and tools to support New Product Introductions, network deployment, release engineering, and operations.
  • Developing and implementing operational process improvements in scalable, automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leading enhancements of automation for continuous integration, validations, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration management across our global backbone, data center, and edge networks.
  • Performing deep dives on complex technical issues across networks, ranging from automated tooling to hardware and network failures.
  • Helping increase operational efficiency between peers and cross-functional teams by identifying roadblocks, designing and delivering automation solutions, and driving change.
  • Proactively improving our network infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions/tools.
  • Managing current tooling for network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Improving access to network telemetry data across the Crusoe Datacenters, Backbone, and Edge Networks.
