The Systems Integration Engineer at Crusoe is a critical role responsible for bridging the gap between physical infrastructure and digital systems within our modular data centers (MDCs). This position is essential for ensuring that each Spark unit, Crusoe's innovative MDC, operates as a cohesive and efficient "region in a box," optimized for the demands of AI workloads. You will be at the forefront of integrating electrical, thermal, mechanical, and networking systems, ensuring they work in harmony to support high-density compute environments.
A typical day for the Systems Integration Engineer involves a mix of collaboration, problem-solving, and hands-on work. You might start by meeting with the Electrical Engineering team to refine site one-line diagrams, ensuring the power distribution is compatible with various power sources. Next, you could collaborate with the Networking team to standardize the deployment of leaf/spine switches and optimize connectivity. A significant portion of your day may be spent working with the Crusoe Industries (CI) and Product teams, focusing on thermal management strategies to maximize GPU performance. Additionally, you'll be involved in R&D activities, testing and validating next-generation Spark prototypes designed for advanced chip architectures. You'll also dedicate time to creating documentation for contract manufacturing partners and serving as the technical escalation point for field teams during commissioning.
