The Customer Development Representative (CDR) role at CrowdStrike in Austin, TX, is a hybrid position designed for ambitious professionals eager to launch a career in cybersecurity sales. Partnering closely with the Account Management team, you'll identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within our existing customer base. Success is measured by qualified opportunities and key performance indicators (KPIs), with comprehensive coaching to master Account Management strategies. You'll employ multi-threaded outreach—including direct engagement, nurture campaigns, and social selling—to book meetings with decision-makers. This role includes world-class Sales Readiness training focused on Sandler and MEDDPICC methodologies, positioning you to evolve into a quota-carrying sales professional within 12-18 months. Hybrid schedule requires three in-office days per week at our Austin office.
Execute targeted outbound campaigns promoting CrowdStrike products absent from customers' portfolios, leveraging the Falcon platform's unmatched capabilities to highlight untapped value.
Work with Corporate Account Managers to develop strategic customer account plans and white space strategies, uncovering growth opportunities in key accounts.
Participate in weekly team sessions for account mapping, providing updates on new opportunities and pipeline generation to ensure alignment and momentum.
Collect and document critical account intelligence, including channel partnerships, tech ecosystems, and competitive landscapes to inform targeted approaches.
Follow up on high-priority events and marketing-driven inbound activities, nurturing leads into qualified meetings with cybersecurity decision-makers.
To excel as a CDR at CrowdStrike, bring curiosity, coachability, and competitiveness to the table. Essential qualifications include customer-facing experience with strong relationship-building, empathy, and active listening. Passion for cybersecurity sales and enterprise software is key, alongside high emotional intelligence (EQ), exceptional communication, and business acumen. Prior experience in outbound prospecting environments is required, with 1+ years as an SDR or BDR and a proven track record of success. Bonus points for cybersecurity knowledge, Account Management experience, or familiarity with Sandler or MEDDPICC. You must be within commuting distance to Austin, TX, and committed to a career in Account Management with mentorship from industry leaders.
