Role Overview

The Customer Service Coordinator (Temporary) role at PepsiCo Park CDC Snacks in Germiston, Gauteng, is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer support within a dynamic FMCG supply chain. This position oversees the full lifecycle of customer orders for defined customer groups, ensuring seamless coordination from order receipt to final delivery. You will collaborate with Transport Planning, Supply Planning, Warehouse teams, and Commercial counterparts to drive on-time in-full (OTIF) performance, optimize truck utilization, and resolve issues proactively. Key Responsibilities

Order Management and Booking

Manage the complete lifecycle of customer orders across categories for allocated customers and DCs. Oversee daily booking processes for DC deliveries, ensuring accurate scheduling for Pioneer and Snacks products. Plan and validate orders, confirming plant allocation and redirecting as needed for optimal fulfillment.

Freight Optimization and Compliance

Monitor order sizes by pallets and weight to adhere to truck capacities, collaborating with sales teams to adjust volumes. Drive freight productivity through load consolidation into full truckloads and maintain bookings via customer portals. Act as custodian for booking slot communications, coordinating with transport planners for timely scheduling. Track compliance to booking slots and delivery fill rates.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

Participate in weekly customer service meetings with updates on fill rates, order execution, and delivery performance. Monitor turnaround times for DC deliveries and follow up on returns. Compile and report weekly KPIs using the Customer Order Management scorecard. Generate ASN reports for weekly orders and share with customers and teams.

Customer Communication and Issue Resolution

Maintain order status trackers covering planning, transport, loading, and offloading. Monitor stock-on-hand at customer DCs, liaising with buyers and sales to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Coordinate booking slots with Freight Planning. Drive OTIF across teams. Resolve complaints promptly by identifying root causes, proposing solutions within SLAs, and ensuring follow-up.
