Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in Arlington Heights, IL, you'll report to the Customer Service Manager and serve as a vital customer advocate in a fast-paced environment. You'll ensure seamless order management, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and support Sonoco's global packaging leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries on order status, concerns, and related issues with great follow-through.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic customer files.
• Accept, process orders, quote pricing, and enter new customer projects or corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production for order scheduling and on-time deliveries.
• Prepare sample orders for sales staff and customers.
• Collaborate with account managers to resolve issues, communicate updates, and support new projects.
• Manage complex customer problems by analyzing causes, determining resolutions, and partnering internally.
• Research and resolve accounts receivable issues with assigned customers, A/R, and Account Managers.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Well-polished written and verbal communication skills.
• Two years' experience in an office setting with multi-line phone systems preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written skills preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
