The Equipment Maintenance Engineer Senior is responsible for maintaining site production equipment. The successful candidate will support the successful implementation of equipment related programs for Nihon Pall Manufacturing Ltd.

This position reports to the Equipment group Manager and is part of the Equipment Maintenance team located in JPN-Tsukuba and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on equipment mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
• Improve the equipment productivity (Analyze the efficiency of current procedures and suggest improvements to better this, attend KAIZEN event).
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation/Encourage 5S activity.
• Verify the operation of the newly installed equipment and assess it.
• Negotiate and communicate with vendors.
• Ability to work independently without support and lead others.
• Lead the cross-department project.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Technical College or university degree (or equivalent)
• Long-standing experience in Equipment management
• In-depth technical knowledge of electricity, machine control and PLC
• MS-Office and Cad skills
• Knowledge of ISO and experience of certification audit

Must be objective and measurable, e.g., education, years of experience per GCRF job leveling guidelines (do not cap years of experience), specific systems proficiency or industry experience. Do not include soft skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – list specifics % travel, overnight, within territory or locations
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• English communication skills
• Electrician Licenses
• Hazardous materials engineer
