The Production Scientist I (Blood Virus) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for manufacture and testing of BV Reagent kits.

 

This position is part of the Blood Virus (BV) project team, located in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be an on onsite role. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

 

You will report to the BV Manager and will be part of a team working on an incredibly important, high-profile project for both Beckman Coulter and Danaher in terms of delivering new assays for our business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete in process testing of Blood Virus Reagent

  • Manufacture Blood Virus Reagent Kits

  • Complete failure investigations where required on non conforming products/OOS

  • Drive process improvements within the formulation department

  • Maintain neat and accurate records as per relevant procedures and work instructions

  • Update procedures to reflect current practices

  • Calibrate and maintain production equipment 

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors Degree in a Science discipline

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working in a laboratory as part of a team

  • Using problem solving tools
