The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-process testing and inspections of medical devices to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive technician who can effectively manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

This position reports to the Quality Control Team Leader and is part of the Quality Control department located in Cardiff and will be an on-site role working on a shift pattern.

• Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm)
• Future Shifts: Role will eventually move to three shifts, including nights (10pm–6am); date not yet set

What you will do:

• Operate testing equipment effectively according to the Work Instructions, hourly targets and safety requirements

• Document and report test results, ensuring that non-conformances are reported accurately and promptly when they occur.

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues

• Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Who you are:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a manufacturing facility or similar

• Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision, using own initiative.

• Excellent attention to detail and highly motivated, with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Proficient in using measurement tools and inspection equipment

• Previous experience within a quality control environment/ ISO 9001/ ISO13485/ Pharma regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage.

• Able to make reasoned and objective decisions where necessary

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
