As Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementation of Cepheid next generation software products.

This position is part of the R&D Department and will be located in Bangalore, IDC, India. This position reports to the Engineering Manager, R&D and will be an onsite role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop and maintain molecular diagnostics application software using Java and Angular frameworks
• Implement automated testing strategies across unit, component, and system levels using industry-standard tools
• Integrate software components with firmware and hardware systems in regulated diagnostics environments
• Collaborate with software quality and technical support teams to ensure compliance with FDA and ISO standards
• Contribute to cross-functional development cycles using Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Minimum 1 year of full stack development experience using Java and Angular, including AWS cloud deployment
• Proficiency in Java-based backend development and Angular-based front-end implementation
• Demonstrated experience in low-level software design engineering and Object Oriented Design principles
• Hands-on development experience in cloud-native applications using AWS services
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of relevant industry experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• As an AWS certified developer
• A background in leveraging AI to improve operational performance.
• Experience working with distributed teams in a global setting.
