The Staff Engineer Electronics is responsible for Project Leadership driving Life Cycle Management (LCM) of parts and key sub-systems in advanced Medical Devices through industry-leading Engineering and OEM partners. As Electronics expert, you will ensure superior Electrical design in your own as well as colleges projects You will play a pivotal role in shaping how we collaborate with specialized industry leading partners as well as internal stakeholders, with special focus on Electronics, to support Radiometer’s product portfolio of Critical Medical Devices.

As Staff Engineer Electronics, you'll work at the forefront of advanced Medical Devices, leveraging unique intellectual property that integrates advanced chemistry, electronics, and mechanical sub-systems. Together, we enable precision diagnostics that help save lives - every single day.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager – Hardware in BDC, Bangalore and is part of the Global Instrument R&D. The position is located in BDC office, Bangalore, India. It will be an on-site role.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Plan and drive Life Cycle Management (LCM), having special focus on Electronics design and performance, through collaboration with external Industry leading partners, internal project teams and stakeholders. You engage your deep Electronics to drive superior and efficient design and performance
  • You will establish Statements of Work with external partners, be Electronics SME (Subject Matter Expert) and ensure seamless collaboration across internal functions including design engineering, testing, software, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to deliver high quality advanced parts and sub-systems.
  • Define and continuously improve processes, utilizing our recognized Danaher Business System (LEAN Tools) for efficient and superior quality and Product Lifecycle
  • Driving BOM cost reductions and overseeing associated budgets as well as ensuring superior Electronics design and performance.
  • Drive compliance, product quality and reliability, through documentation, change control and incl. transfer to manufacturing to ensure Industry leading Precision Diagnostics

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A master’s/bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, combined with Project Management. +14 years of experience performing, planning and leading electronics design and development activities of systems as well as experience working with suppliers.
  • Solid experience in electronics and hardware design for medical devices, including solid experience with digital and analog circuit design, FPGA-based systems, and PCB layout best practices. Adept experience simulation using EDA tools such as Altium, Cadence Allegro, and PSpice. Proficient in developing mixed-signal systems, including analog front-end design and digital signal processing, as well as performing design validation and verification to ensure compliance with IEC 60601 and EMC standards. Experienced in component selection, BOM preparation, circuit simulation, schematic design, PCB layout review, component placement verification, and routing support
  • Experience working in, and handling design documentation in, Medical Devices industry (ISO 13485, FDA 21CFR 820.30) and/or other comparable regulated industry, including systems engineering with requirement driven design and verification processes.
  • 3+ years of experience from external partnerships and working with cross-functional project management in regulated industries, preferably within healthcare.
  • Proficient in English, excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities as well as effective communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical, structured, and process-oriented mindset

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – some travels to partner as well as other Radiometer sites incl HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven track record of project management as well as EMC knowledge and experience will be a plus.
  • Experience managing complex Device systems involving mechanical, electrical and software components, which are crucial for diagnostic Instruments
  • Experience from a multi-cultural global company setup
  • Hands-on experience with Medical electronics design, PCB design and Schematics
  • Operations Project managements disciplines incl FMEA, Design reviews, DFx, Design for Manufacturing, VAVE, V&V experience etc
